Back for the second year in their current new form, the Practical Motorhome Awards feature the best motorhomes, campervans and accessories available on the market today. With 21 awards overall, we’ve included 15 motorhome and van conversion awards that cover a range of budgets, sizes and types. All shortlisted entries must be new or revised for the 2023 season.
We also have categories featuring cleaners, covers, bike racks, sat navs and other specialist accessories, helping you to kit out your motorhome ready for next year’s tours.
What’s more, this year we asked our expert Gentleman Jack to lead the team in judging the best used buys out there, too – you’ll find our special round-up, with our stars from previous decades, beginning on p78.
Read on to find out who the winners are, and visit our website to see all of the superb shortlisted products!

Best motorhome under £60,000
Chausson S514
Price £56,990 Berths 2/3 Belts 4 MTPLM 3500kg MiRO 2600kg Length 5.99m Width 2.10m
Looking for a coachbuilt motorhome in this price bracket sometimes means settling for a white box that doesn’t really stand out on the road.
Not so with the newly revised S514 from Chausson. You get an exterior that instantly sets you apart from everyone else at the campsite, because it’s grey – and grey all over, not just on the sides. It’s a unique colour in the motorhome market.
With black alloys and smart black edging to the locker doors, people will very likely be thinking you are in some sort of sophisticated adventure vehicle, rather than a regular transverse-bed van conversion.
But there’s cleverness on the inside, too, which again you wouldn’t expect at this price. The way the “butterfly bed” folds up when you don’t need it means you have space to store an upright bike at the back and still have room to get dressed further up front – quite something in any ’van less than 6m long. Yet the front dinette remains comfortable, too, and provides an occasional extra berth.
