Mark Teakle (aka Fats) and I have been mates since spannered on Honda's Australasian Safari off-road team more than 20 years ago. Despite our love of motorcycles, we rarely get to ride together, so when a trip to Darwin came up, I was keen to see what the riding was like in the NT.
Fats told me that Jarvis Signature Tours run by Tim Walker had recently opened up. Tim loads of motorcycle rider training and tour experience, so we jumped online and booked our tour. I was relieved to find out the tours are flexible and tailored to accommodate your riding ability. I am not up to any hard enduro riding and my trail-riding days in the last few years have been few and far between.
