Winning the Senior Youth Cutting Champion at the 2021 DDCC Toowoomba Cutting Futurity was amazing for 16yo, Charli Thomas. Charli, who lives at Biddeston, in Qld, has shown at Toowoomba before, however it was her first time as a Senior Youth and that was very exciting.

‘My horse, Kitty’s Da Vinci, had recovered from an injury before the event, and it was the first time I’d shown all year. We bought Da Vinci from Stacey and Steve Smith. Steve had been very generous helping me get to know Da Vinci and they never gave up on me. He’d break down my runs and point out what I was doing well, and that would encourage me. Da Vinci is a great horse for me, and he’s beautiful too!’
