BLOODCURDLING SCREAM

Wrapping the duvet tighter around me, I snuggled down into an even deeper sleep.

There had been an awful storm the night before, so I decided to make the most of the peace and quiet of 8am on a Sunday morning.

It was Halloween last year, and the weather outside was perfect for the spooky season.

My mum, Nicole, 59, and dad, Michael, 58, had come to stay for the weekend, and my partner Adam, 34, was doing six-week-old Casey’s morning feed next to me.

It was nice to have a lie-in.

Casey was a lovely baby – he had met all his milestones, and fitted perfectly into our family.

He was our first baby, and we were so happy to have him.
