COUNTING THE COST OF CROP CIRCLES
As the 2022 crop circle season draws to a close, it is clear that there was only a fraction of the number that used to appear at the phenomenon’s height in the 1990s, with the majority found in Wiltshire and adjacent counties. What was different this year was that the circle season coincided with a food crisis caused by the Russian invasion of Ukraine that has caused a major surge in grain and newspaper decided to mark the end of the circle season with an analysis of the economic impact of crop circles on the farming community.
