Independence, Chilean style!

Many countries have special holidays that celebrate important events in their past. Some of the most special are those that celebrate the events that led to a country’s independence. The United States has Independence Day on July 4th. France has Bastille Day on July 14th. And in Chile, they celebrate the Fiestas Patrias on September 18th. But Chile doesn’t set aside just one day to celebrate its independence. Its celebrations may last an entire week.
