Pure and simple

The MGB evolved in several stages during its 18-year production life but the very earliest examples are naturally the closest in concept to Syd Enever and Don Hayter’s original vision. The most obvious way to identify a Mk 1 MGB is by its door handles. Those built between 1962 and 1965 have a simple pull-out latch which has led to the first MGBs being known colloquially as ‘pull handle’ models.
