EYES ON THE PRIZE

We’re really excited to say the book prizes are up and running again this year. To streamline the administration, the Picture Book Prize and the Chapter Book Prize are now merging to become The Writing Magazine Children’s Book Prize. There will be two categories (one for picture books, one for chapter books) and you are welcome to enter just one category or both. Previous winners have gone on to sign publishing deals or sign with agents, as well as receiving valuable feedback on their work. The competitions have helped support, nurture and encourage emerging writers, as well as kickstart some careers. We are delighted to see that the book prizes are making a difference.

Top children’s literary agent, Julia Churchill at AM Heath Ltd, is once again helping to judge the book prize, offering a 1:1 consultation with the winner of each category.
