Non-start

Q First thing thank you for your previous help – without it I wouldn’t have sorted the previous EGR problem. I now have a non-start with the same 2007 Ford Focus 1.8 TDCi. Key in and on dash appears OK, then I attempt to start – it cranks with good speed (recent new battery of correct type) but does not start.

The immobiliser light on dash flashes rapidly. The only code I have recovered is P1622. This is beyond my basic auto electrical skills so any help would be appreciated. Could it be the dash pod?

A The code P1622 is indicating an incorrect immobiliser code is being detected by the vehicle. Unfortunately, on your Ford there is no way of re-programming the code without using advanced diagnostic equipment.
