Simply SOAK

On the day I interviewed Bridie Monds-Watson, Transport For London embarked on one of the most major strikes in history. After sitting in traffic on a bus for the best part of two hours, I finally arrived at the pub in Hackney Wick where we had arranged to meet. This was my first inperson interview in two years. I was somewhat relieved that I wouldn’t be panicking over dodgy internet connections or background noise, but conscious that I now had to take care not to trip over my own feet or smash my glass!

Better known as SOAK, Bridie is a singer-songwriter originally from Derry, Northern Ireland. They’re currently in the process of moving to Dublin and we bond over the mutually terrible housing
