‘MAY YOU LIVE TO BE 10 0’ OR 90, OR 84

Istill feel a bit deflated after finding all those sad almshouse records for my 3x great-uncle Joseph Riboldi last month.

Can his brothers Dominick and Francis lighten the mood? To be honest, just finding them in the US Censuses will cheer me up no end, so let’s crack on.

Now, all I have so far is Dominick on the 1855 New York City Census, living with his sister Rosanna and her husband Oliver Marshall. But I couldn’t find Francis at all, so let’s have another go.

This time round, I leave out everything bar his name and ‘birthplace Ireland’, and ah, this is more like it. Just for starters, I can see four results for Francis, although the earliest is the 1865 NYC Census.
