The Accidental Studio

Sohere we are, a mediumsized pottery studio in the lovely heart of Cheshire. We are close to the M6 and near to several aff luent towns. We’re surrounded by other super, small businesses and a thriving family-owned farm. Unlike many pottery studios, we have lots of people past our door, which is a huge advantage as far as marketing is concerned. Indeed, since we opened in 2018, getting people to come to classes and taster sessions has been the least of our problems. Combine that and the million pounds worth of annual free advertising otherwise known as The Great Pottery Throw Down, and sometimes we have felt more like Canute trying to hold back the tide rather than anything else – and with about as much success.
