Tesla Model 3 SERVICE

The vehicle used as the subject of this article is an SR+ which is rear-wheel-drive only. Long range and performance versions will have a drive motor for the front wheels for extra traction.

The majority of ancillary driving controls on the Tesla Model 3 are carried out via the central interior touchscreen.

This also gives access to the operating manual and a number of service settings.

Before starting any kind of maintenance work it should be understood that an electric vehicle has a high-voltage DC power supply – 360V in this case – with the potential to kill if interfered with without the proper precautions. However, there is no need to go near any HV components when carrying out routine servicing. All HV cables are well protected and coloured Orange.
