‘Six years, two children and a pandemic later, we've finally got it the way we like’
MY STORY
Matt and I both grew up in Stamford, but had moved away, come back, and got together. First, we bought a two-bed terrace, which we did up from scratch. But it was on a busy road and not ideal for our dog, Luna. We were also thinking about having children, so we knew we'd need more space, and we didn't want to be worrying every time we opened the front door.
When we started looking around, we loved what this house offered in terms of the quieter location, the number of bedrooms and the possibility of creating a kitchen-diner. But it was very dark and dingy and needed lots of love and attention, plus a brand new kitchen and bathroom.
