I’m a great fan of Jayne Shrimpton’s analysis of old photographs, particularly because I have a fabulous collection from both my grandmothers. I am at a loss over some pictures and wonder whether Jayne could cast her expert eye over these.

I have no ID for this little girl, but her photograph was taken in a Bradford studio, so I imagine she might be my maternal grandmother, Lilian Bottomley, born June 1890, aged maybe 8 or so. However the outfit seems so very Victorian
