autism is a curse or demon possession. it is a lifelong developmental disability that affects how people communicate and interact with the world. / all people with autism exhibit similar symptoms. autism is a spectrum disorder, so called because there is a wide variation in severity and type of symptoms people experience – there is an old adage that says: if you’ve met a person with autism, then you’ve met one person with autism. / autism means mental instability, because people with the condition have a ‘faulty’ brain. it is caused by differences in the brain; it is not a mental disorder. people with autism cannot keep it together in social settings. they can, people with autism cannot learn any skill or focus. they can, they just have different ways of learning, moving or paying attention. / people with autism are not normal. what is normal? One in 100 people have autism. Neurodiversity should be embraced, not ignored; or worse, rejected.
