IN THE BEGINNING…
Graham Morison’s car enthusiasm dates to his schooldays when he was classmates with a certain Chris Harris, latterly ‘off the telly’, but more importantly, the highly respected motoring journalist. Chris’s influence served to increase his latent passion, which in real world terms commenced with a classic Mini 1000. Graham’s Jaguar interest was fuelled by a rather unusual trigger: his paternal grandfather had an extensive model railway and one of the background ‘set dressing’ cars was a Mk10 – the line and style of the model captivated the young boy and sowed a seed – later germinated by visits to Coventry Transport Museum from his nearby university campus that then held JDHTs full size example. Career and family intervened but in 2014 the moment was right to fulfil the dream.

Via the medium of an eBay advertisement, a likely 1963 3.8 Mk10 automatic was located in Penrith. The car was MOT’d and in full running order but had only been used
