A BEVY OF BUICKS

Changing Eras

The title attached to this image is simply 'Changing eras,' and really that sums it up perfectly with a bullock cart on the right and an early example of the newfangled Buick motor car on the left. We would suggest it is a Model B or C, but would need your help to be sure on that. Everybody looks rather relaxed in this shot, especially the rake lounging sideways in the Buick's passenger seat. The driver looks a little more tense, but he has probably just been told by the photographer to hold the wheel and look like he is driving. As for the two guys standing up in the cart, we can just see them flying over backwards if the oxen take it into their heads to bolt for it.
