Sometimes when you are working on a project, you get a day when it sees a major leap forwards. This may be the culmination of many weeks of work such as completing bodywork repairs or a respray, or it may be a landmark moment such as getting a dead engine to run for the first time and finding that it doesn’t actually sound like a bag of nails. More often though, a project will consist of a series of small victories, each relatively insignificant in their own right but all of them contributing to the creation of a better or more usable car. That latter scenario is the case today as we focus on two small but important issues – aseized bonnet release cable and an exhaust silencer that appeared to be on its last legs.
