Stingray in the Lakes!

I’d had an email from my local VMCC rep with brief details of a proposed ride of around 180 miles. I’d joined the VMCC, principally, as it seemed to have a sensible insurance tie-up with a broker. For £150 I insured three of the little ’uns and as the weather looked warm and fluffy I was itching to get on board...

Terry Robinson’s email proposed a wobble up to Kirkby Lonsdale, favourite meet-up place of bikers of all persuasions, then on to the Lake District and potentially three glorious passes...three interesting passes...three very steep passes! I had the Stingray ready for action (see page 58 for the latest). I’ve ridden it 200 yards up the road since I tickled it into shape, so what could possibly go wrong?
