Malle Mile 2020

Ihadn’t even looked at my race scooter, never mind prepped it for racing, until the day before the event. Thankfully the scooter was still in great shape after last year’s racing and needed nothing more than a quick spanner check, battery charge and a change to some off-road tyres.

This year there would be three of us on scooters at the event; once again my trusty sidekick, Simon Allan, would be there on his mega-powered Quattrini-powered Vespa, as well as Steve Aquilina on his 210cc Malossi Vespa (a late stand-in after he experienced issues with another of his scooters) plus me on my Typhoon-powered Lambretta LD. None of them are really suited to off-road racing, but then that’s half the fun, right?
