Videomass is a graphical front-end for ffmpeg, but boasts of additional useful features, such as the ability to download videos from YouTube, Facebook and other sources.

While you could install the utility with Python’s package manager you’ll still have to ensure all its dependencies are installed beforehand. pip3 install videomass will install the latest available version of the project and most of its dependencies. On our Ubuntu test machine, we had to install the package before we could get to work. Thankfully, this package is available in the software repos of most desktop distros.
