Seaside start
Our ride started in San Sebastián, in the mountainous Basque country on the Bay of Biscay. The town is lovely, with a mixture of old-world charm and the hustle and bustle of a modern city. For days off the bike, there’s a lovely beach right at the heart of town, and cracking food and drink everywhere you look. It’s less than an hour from Bilbao, so easily reachable if you come over on a ferry. Definitely worth a visit, whether you’re on a bike or not.
