Harry heads south

Harry Bott, the intrepid traveller circumnavigating the UK and Ireland on his great grandfather’s 1926 Sunbeam Model 1 side valve flat tanker, has passed the most northerly point of his journey and is heading down the east coast.

Harry is visiting every lifeboat station in the country and raising money for the RNLI on his trek, which, as reported, was plotted on a RNLI tea towel. We spoke to him as he sailed back to the UK mainland at Scrabster from Orkney.

So far, the little Sunbeam has only suffered a few mechanical issues. The little end fell apart, badly gouging the barrel as he rode through Ireland.
