Building Regs Part S: New EV charging rules

Building Regulations’ approval has been required for all building works carried out in England and Wales ever since the passing of the Building Act 1984. The Building Regulations have been split into a number of sections, each of which is denoted by a letter and covers a specific aspect of building. Each section has an Approved Document detailing the legislation and providing a number of methods of meeting the regulation. As with most industries, these regulations and guidances get periodically updated and sometimes new ‘Parts’ need to be added to embrace the changing needs of the industry. And this is why Part S has been published.
