PADDLE STEAMER

The paddle steamer Eric Nordevall II is up for sale at Sjotorp on Lake Vänern in Sweden. Built in 2011 as a replica of the original ship of 1836 which sank in Lake Vättern in 1856, she was constructed to the highest standards and has Passenger Certificates for up 59 passengers.

The 30m ship has eight cabins, including one for the captain and one in the forepeak, with the others opening out onto the saloon. In common with other paddlers built for working canals with width limits, she has her paddle wheels slightly inset. Eric Nordevall II has a top speed of six knots and is powered by a Motala balanced beam
