ill Nediger, the constructor behind Lollapuzzoola’s Puzzle 5, came all the way from London to attend the tournament—London, Ontario, that is. But it’s no surprise he made the trip across the pond (which, in this case, is Lake Erie) when he’s such a celebrity in Lolla-land. Not only is he the 2021 Lolla champ, he’s one of the hottest constructors in the game right now: As one of those rare birds who is a full-time puzzle-smith, he’s a regular contributor at , , and . He also maintains his own indie puzzle blog, “bewilderingly.” Given all these gigs, and the fact that his wife gave birth to their second son last April, it’s a wonder he has a second to spare, but he still spoiled me with an inside look at his Lolla puzzle. And you’ll be spoiled too, literally, , so don’t read it until you’ve done the puzzle—which is printed in this very magazine on pages 62 and 63! So just flip back here after you give it a go.
