How to grow cape gooseberries

Sweetly tart, the golden berries of the Cape Gooseberry (Physalis peruviana) are like hidden treasures in the veggie garden. The fruit is concealed in a green casing that turns brown and papery once the fruit is ripe. Why not grow a gooseberry bush or two or for the kids and let them experience the fun of a gooseberry hunt?
