With all of the avionics technology available to general aviation aircraft today, space on instrument panels is becoming prime real estate. From PFDs, MFDs, back-ups, engine monitors, GNSS units, iPad mounts, multiple comms, transponders and a heap of other stuff, today’s panels are crowded houses.
This has spawned a number of new avionics units with compact dimensions to lessen disruption to panels
