They came, they taught, they conquered. Twelve competent trappers, who happen to be women, led the National Trappers Association Convention into trapping, female style. The ladies explained and showed everything from how to make a dirthole set, to how to skin a bobcat for taxidermy, and then turn that work into a fur coozie. The crowds grew every day at the SHE Side of the NTA Convention.
These women were not just capable, by-the-book trappers, they also demonstrated new ways to make trapping easier for women, that also work for men. By Saturday of the convention, more male trappers showed up to watch and learn than women who were starting up the learning curve of trapping.
The SHE Side began as the brainchild of Linda White, co-owner of Trapping Girl, Inc. and Sawmill Creek Baits and Lures.
