It wasn’t that many months ago that I found myself thinking that the days of overseas press trips for the launch of new angling products were a thing of the past, yet another casualty of the pandemic. Over the years I have attended many events all around Europe and Scandinavia, events that have usually been organised by the manufacturers of the boats, engines and marine electronics I review for Sea Angler.

Then, one morning, an email pinged into my inbox.
