Classic Holiday Meal

SAUSAGE-STUFFED BACON-WRAPPED DATES

Makes 12

1 tablespoon olive oil
4 ounces fresh chorizo sausage, casings removed
¼ cup cream cheese, softened
1 tablespoon chopped fresh parsley
¼ teaspoon crushed red pepper
6 slices bacon, halved crosswise
12 large pitted dates

1. Preheat oven to 350°.

2. In a medium skillet, heat oil over medium heat. Add chorizo; cook until browned and crumbly, about 5 minutes. Let drain on paper towels. Wipe skillet clean.

3. In a small bowl, stir together chorizo, cream cheese, parsley, and red pepper until combined.
