TENSION
6 patt repeats and 21 rows measure
21x21cm (8¼x8¼in) over pattern using a 3.5mm hook, or size needed to obtain correct tension (after blocking – see Notes)

fan-3 (Ch1, dtr) 3 times in same st/sp, ch1
fan-4 (Ch1, dtr) 4 times in st/sp, ch1
fan-6 (Ch1, dtr) 6 times in st/sp, ch1
fan-8 (Ch1, dtr) 8 times in st/sp, ch1
invisible join Fasten off leaving a 20cm tail, without closing the round with a ss, pull final loop so the tail comes through the top of the final st, thread tail onto a darning needle, insert needle from front to back through top of second st of round and pull yarn through, insert needle through the back 2 loops on final st on round, pull so the yarn creates a false top st to the t-ch of the final round, be careful not to pull too tight – try to match the tension of the other sts, weave in end
