You’ve heard of the love languages, right? If not, let’s get you up to speed.

According to the worldwide best-selling pop psychology book by Gary Chapman called The Five Love Languages, there are five different ways of expressing and receiving love:

1. Words of affirmation
2. Quality time
3. Gifts
4. Acts of service
5. Physical touch

If you purr all day when your partner gives you a compliment in the morning, words of affirmation are your thing. If your favourite activity is to simply hang out all day and do stuff as a couple, quality time is what makes you feel loved.
