“I first saw a C64 towards the end of 1982, possibly at the PCW show. I think Rabbit Software had an imported one on display, but I can’t really remember what it was running – nothing particularly amazing, obviously. Then at the same show, Jay [Balakrishnan] from HES gave me a US C64 of my own. I was much more impressed when I could actually use one. Sprites seemed like magic!
