Zac Efron celebrates 20 years in show business this year, but it’s only now the 34-year-old feels on top of his game, his health and his life. The former child star credits his extended relocation to Australia for bringing him down to earth, after some personally difficult times.
Earlier this year he was linked to plastic surgery rumours after images emerged of the star sporting a very different look facially. However, Efron told the October magazine that the effects of a shocking 2013 accident were to blame for his altered appearance. The actor described how his “chin bone was hanging off his face” after he injured himself when he slipped on a sock and clipped a granite fountain at his home. According to the star, he almost died and was rushed to surgery as a result.
