The check-up!

With Covid lockdowns and other happenings not affecting my general wellbeing or really scaring me all that much, I could get away with visits to the clinic sister or telephonic doctor’s consultations, and all went fine as usual.

But the minute you reach the age that folks like to refer to as your ‘autumn’ or ‘golden’ years, things suddenly change. The ‘autumn’ I can still understand, as most old men get a sort of plucked look with only a hair here and there, and their wallets, just like the trees, are becoming bare. If the ladies look autumnal at all, it means they have definitely overdone it a bit with fiery shades
