Bursting through the doors in a balaclava, I rammed my hand into my jacket pocket like a gun.
‘I’m sorry, this is a robbery,’ I told the terrified bank cashiers.
As they handed over wads of cash, I felt a rush of adrenaline.
‘I’m sorry,’ I apologised. ‘Have a good day.’
Each time I robbed a bank, I risked getting caught. But in the grips of a heroin addiction, I didn’t care if I lived or died.
