Q&A: cage or colony?

“We have recently set up an aviary for Australian finches. The outside flight is attached to a large shed with inside flight, which will be heated in the winter. Our aim is to breed our birds. There is room for breeding cages, but we are undecided what the best breeding environment for success is. Please could you advise?
