One of the UK’s brightest new music stars talks about her creative process and industry impact.

Dréya Mac has had an enormous year and she’s just getting started. Though her schedule is busier than ever, her composed demeanour suggests otherwise. With rapping, singing, choreographing and directing all under her belt, Dréya proved she was one to watch back in April 2020 with her debut single Skippin. But in 2021 she reached new heights, bursting onto the global scene when her song Own Brand Freestyle featuring FelixThe1st went viral on social media, becoming an international earworm and reaching over 80 million streams on Spotify. In 2022 the star has continued to make waves with tracks as lyrically stirring as they are catchy, and her fans include Kehlani and Rihanna. So far this year Dréya has been nominated for both Breakthrough Artist of the Year and Female Artist of the Year at GRM Daily’s Rated Awards, she has performed at multiple festivals including Wireless where she was brought out
