s the scooter boom began to take off it didn’t take long for almost every automotive manufacturer to join the lucrative bandwagon. It was dominated by the Lambretta and Vespa with their unique and stylish designs and those that attempted to take a share of the market were soon pushed out of the way. This was hardly surprising as many of the designs were poor and couldn’t compete with what was already on offer. A lot of the problems boiled down to the fact that most efforts simply reheated existing designs into something that resembled a scooter. Other manufacturers struggled because they
