BT-50 Takami-PAMPER YOURSELF

Mazda has added a layer of style and luxury to its BT50 and in the process arguably created a new upper niche in the super-competitive diesel double cab category.

This new Takami version slides in above the Limited that was previously to the top spec and was tested recently by NZ4WD.

Takami literally translates as 'above'. Fair enough, then.

It delivers the truck-tough performance expected of a ute but does so with the comfort and features found in Mazda's current SUV and car range, overlaying the steel fist of 'uteness' with the velvet glove of premium SUV style.

What's new or different? The best way to think about the Takami package is definitely as an enhancement of the previous top model the Limited. It uses a combination of black and grey exterior features
