The Carpenter Complex campus of the University of Memphis was usually full of the hustle and bustle of students going about their daily life.
Laughing and joking, rushing from one class to another during the day, going on nights out.
But on Sunday 30 September 2007, it was the sound of gunshots that rang through the air at Memphis Uni.
Alarmed, students called the police, who rushed to the scene.
Just 200 yards away, they spotted a car crashed into a tree.
