LIFE ON THE GO

There is change afoot at Montblanc, the storied German brand known for its elegant writing instruments. That change was pretty clear when the brand decided to launch its latest collection of leather goods right smack in the middle of Paris fashion week. It’s also clear because Montblanc is now led by Creative Director Marco Tomasetta, an accessories and leather goods connoisseur with a CV that includes the likes of Prada, Fendi, Louis Vuitton and most recently Givenchy, where he headed up design for both men and women.

Tomasetta’s first collection for Montblanc,, was launched last year. As its name suggests, it’s a classic line with design details like fountain pen-shaped nibs that hark back to core house codes. His second and latest, , builds on those introductory ideas with a more mobile perspective.
