’VE NEVER EXPERIENCED weightlessness before, but as I float in water so close to body temperature that I barely feel it, gravity no longer exists. As my therapist Smiljana gently guides me on the surface, she seems to be in the same trance-like state that I am. They say some people become emotional, feeling like they’re in their mother’s womb. For me, it is almost transcendental, as if I am drifting in space, somewhere between sleep, wakefulness and something else, with a sense of complete calm.
