SHIVA

hiva – Sanskrit for “the auspicious one” – is one of the main deities of Hinduism. He is one-third of the Trimurti, a triple-deity divinity for creation, maintenance, and destruction, with Shiva as the god of destruction. Shiva is often depicted with a serpent around his neck, a third eye on the forehead, (trident). Shaivism, one of the major Hindu traditions, worships Shiva as the supreme god.
