LOOKING AHEAD

My family was among many who went through the recent floods. Our home, a converted old Salvation Army hall in a northern NSW country town, is still yet to be repaired.

When a friend (hi, Nadine) put us up for a bushy weekend, I read all her copies of Country Style and realised I needed it to help me bring the charm back to our heritage-listed building.

As a florist, a second-hand seeker and an Australiana collector, I find it so inspiring. I’m a bird dork, and lost my binoculars in the floods. But after seeing an old pair on a recent cover, I then found some at the Brunswick Heads Old and Gold festival. Things lost will be treasures
