About the only other creative outlet I enjoy is puttering around growing dahlia flowers. Dahlias remind me of long summer evenings spent helping my grandma water her beautiful dahlias. I loved watching the water splash against the red bricks onto the flowers. Looking back, I know grandma didn’t really need a tall lanky kid helping her, but it was her way of spending time with me. I look forward to spring and the first sign of my plants returning.
