Jeanneau Yacht 60

The Jeanneau Yacht 60 looks like the sleek, racy, upscale vessels that populate tony Mediterranean regattas, but that low deck profile belies its tall, bright cruising interior. This is a stylish fast cruiser, not a stripped-out racer.

DESIGN & CONSTRUCTION

The Jeanneau 60 is actually a 57-footer with a three-foot bowsprit, but the waterline is quite long, and that is the significant performance measurement of a boat. This Philippe Briand design sports the current trend toward wide transoms, long chines, twin rudders and a fine entry. The emphasis is on form stability, not ballast, and such a boat prefers to be sailed upright rather than heeled over like a classic narrow hull.
