When did you first join ArchiTeam and how did you hear about it? Why did you become involved?
I’ve been a member for a long time now. It was a word of mouth thing. When you first start your own practice or start talking about doing that, people say, “You’ll need to get insurance and you’ll need to do this and that.” And ArchiTeam was recommended by other architects, including Blair Gardiner (now a lecturer in construction at Melbourne University). I think a lot of people, particularly for insurance, start there, and then end up staying because they actually discover all the other stuff that the co-op does, which you may not have known to begin with. So quite often it’s a process of discovery after you join initially.
